My latest project - not designed by me! This is the amazing design of Pat Alinejad, and the pattern is her 'Elderberry Bunny'. It's available on Ravelry - not expensive and worth every penny. It was easy to follow the pattern and knitted up quickly.
I've done another two since this one, the last one photographed below (A commission with the colours chosen by the commissioner)
The photos on Facebook have produced quite a response - 'awwww' being the key phrase used!
I've enjoyed these so much, I intend to try her Bumble Bear pattern in the future.
To get the shapes there's a lot of sharp increases (And decreases) which I struggled to do with standard straight needles (gammy hands!), so I tried the shorter knit-pro 'zing' interchangeable needles - much easier!
Another little tip for those who use thumb cast on as their main way of casting on - this doesn't work well with the feet, head or arms. use the standard two needle cast on for a less 'holey' finish.
Next projects - a cardigan for a new addition to our rather large human family (Not the knitted ones), and the on going hats, cardigans and blankets for a local charity.
